At about quarter after seven, the brother and sister made their way into the colt wing of the barn. They were greeted by multiple whinnies and a couple snorts, even a kick to the stall door. "Hey, you'll get your grain soon enough," Celina told a chestnut colt named Lee. She and her brother started opening up the feeders and measuring out the grain and adding in the supplements. Once the feeders were turned back in, the two went to the filly barn.
The girls were more civil, but Candy still pawed at her stall door and a few whinnies were heard. "Knock it off," Feliks said to the chestnut filly. He knew how expensive her shoes were, and did not want a loose one. Like before, they turned out the feeders and measured out the grain and supplements, then turned them back in. Feliks went to the nearly empty gelding wing and gave his horse Hero his half scoop of grain and small amount of supplements. "Good boy," he said and tossed the horse two flakes of hay.

Now that the fillies were out in their pasture, Celina and Feliks gave the colts their hay. Then they grabbed the wheelbarrows and began to clean out the fillies' stalls. Because it was Sunday, they added some pellets to all the horses' stalls. Then they set the grain, hay, and water for that night. Last but not least they went through the barn and swept the isles. The kittens from their barn cat Bubbles and Lady were let out from the stall. There were many, and soon they would all be named. For now, only three from a previous litter were named. There was a grey tabby female named Puma, a brown male tabby named Boots, and a pale orange male named Mater. With a sigh, the brother and sister sat down on some hay bales to play with the kittens.
