Keelin pulled the two horse trailer up to the small gravel parking lot. She pulled out the key and slid it into her pocket before exiting the truck, a white cotton lead rope in hand. She made her way to the back of the truck where she undid the bolts that held the ramp securely up. Keelin attached the leadrope to her mare's halter and threw it over her neck gently. Then once again she walked back to the ramp, swung the butt-bar down, and said, "Back out, girl." The mare heard this command and slowly but steadily made her way down the black ramp. Keelin smiled and caught the lead rope and tied her to the trailer using a quick-release knot. Jada, the mare, stood quietly but alertly as her owner put the rope up.
Soon Keelin was brushing the bay Thoroughbred, getting the few clumps of dirt off and removing as much dust as she could. When she patted the horse, a cloud of dust rose making Keelin sneeze. She laughed softly before bending down to pick Jada's hooves. The mare raised her head suddenly and pointed her ears forward at the sound of something in the bushes. After finding out it was simply a squirrel, the mare lowered her head again as her owner saddled her up. Keelin used an english saddle that day, and straightened out the quilted pink fitted pad. After drawing up the girth, she took the mare's halter off and let it hang from the knot. Jada tossed her head reluctantly, not wanting to accept the bit. But soon, after Keelin stuck her thumb in the corner of the mare's mouth, she accepted it, and the slow-twist eggbutt snaffle was in the mare's mouth. Keelin then buckled her horse's throat latch and put on her helmet before mounting up and heading off into the woods for a nice, quiet ride.

Karlee had decided that she wanted to take her stud,Twist, out for a trail ride. She had not yet been on the Deer Pathway trail, and decided that's where she would go. She backed the Two Horse trailer up to the trailhead, and killed the moter, got out, and walked around to the back. Twist was already tacked up inside the trailer, so they could just start, when she got there, she noticed a girl tacking up a horse. She smiled warmly. Hi, I'm Karlee. She opened the back of the trailer, and the big, black Stallion tunred his head toward her and nickered. Back out, boy, come on. On her cue the stallion slowly backed out, puting his back feet on the ground, and then spinning around. He saw the mare and whinnied loudly to her. Calm down, Twist, It's ok. She stroked the stallions neck. She double checked his cinch, and put the stirrups down.
Karlee grabbed the tack box, and got out the hoof pick, just to double check Twist's hooves. SHe lifted one hoof at a time, and cleaned out all the dirt that she didn't get out the first time. Twist pinned his ears when she picked up his Back hind, but that was it. He danced, and waited until Karlee put her helmet on, and mounted up on the stallion. His ears were aerial and alert, and he glanced at the mare. Karlee kept his reigns tight.

The bay mare stopped and turned her head around to look at the black stallion only twenty feet away. "What is it?" Keelin said quietly and turned around in the dark brown english saddle. She saw a stallion and a girl. Hopefully she knew how to control a stallion; Keelin did not want Jada to be bred... she was already in foal to Jack. With a sigh, she smiled and waved to the pair but turned in her saddle and nudged Jada back into a walk. The mare went on willingly; she too enjoyed quiet trail rides.

Karlee's specialty was controlling stallions. She had been all her life. She collected the reigns and asked Twist for a walk. The stallion bowed his head and kept a nice walk. She didn't want to get to close to the mare, so she would keep him going slow until they got up a little ways. Good boy, Twist. This was Twists first trail, and he was doing pretty good.Twist was a jumper, and now he could add trail horse to his lift of stuff he could do.

A blue horse box pulled up onto the gravel, sending gravel stones flying. Tiffany stepped out, and lowered the ramp. A whinny came from the horse box. Swan tossed her mane when Tiffany opened the Jockey door. Heya girl. Tiffany climbed in, untying the rope and backing the filly out. Back, back, back, and turn. The filly obeyed and stood, patiently, looking at the two other horses. Tiffany smiled to the owners, and took the rug off Swan, placing it into the horse box. She stripped the travel boots, and placed a saddle upon her back. The mare pinned her ears. Easy, it's ok. She tried to kick when Tiffany tightened the girth. She placed the bit into the fillies mouth, and tightened the straps on her bridle. She got her hat and whip, and mounted, walking over to the other two, holding there horses. Hey, May I join you? She asked.

There had been a storm the other day, and it had been pretty bad. As they rounded a bend, there was a fallen log. The branches had been cleared off, but the clean-up services had not moved the log yet. "All right girl, let's go," Keelin said and nudged Jada into a canter. They had done some stadium at home, so she cleared the log easily. Keelin pulled her down to a trot, and began posting. She could work her a bit, but not too hard as she was nearly a month into her pregnancy. "Good girl," the young woman said and patted her mare's neck.

Karlee smiled when she saw how well her stallion was behaving. She played with is mane for a few minutes, and then saw the other girl and the mare where ahead. And then, anouther horse came out. Now here was Twist stuck in the middle of two mares. Good thing he was so calm. Karlee turned in her saddle and smiled. Sure. She asked Twist for a canter, and began heading for the fallen log.

Tiffany trotted beside them. Hey, Swan saw some orange leaves on the ground, she looked down. She snorted, placing her foot on them. She reared up, squealing after it made a Crunch. Tiffany leaned forward when she reared. Swan came down, snorting. Easy, girl. Tiffany squeezed into her sides. Swan pricked her ears. Walk on. She tapped her on the shoulder with the whip. Swan took a few steps through the leaves. Good girl. Swan made it. That's it, girl!

Hearing a second horse behind them, Keelin asked Jada for a halt. She did so, and bent her nose to sniff the ground as her rider looked behind them. Keelin was never very outgoing, so she just waited for the girl on the stallion to catch up, and also the other mare. It seemed like the stallion's rider knew how to control him, and he didn't seem to need much controlling anyways. The white horse on the other hand reared up. Keelin bit her lip, figuring it was a young racer getting accustomed to the trails.

Tiffany halted Swan. Hey, I'm Tiffany. She smiled, patting the filly. Swan looked at the other horse. The wind blew through the trees. Swan pinned her ears and jumped wildly to the side. Tiffany tapped her with the whip, and squeezed into her sides, halting her beside the other person again. Sorry about her obnoxious behavior, she's a bit, spooky.

Karlee smiled. She's pretty . She kicked the lazy stallion into a slow gallop and he lept over the log gracefully. She collected him into a canter and saw that the girl on the other mare was waiting. As she came close, she brought Twist up beside the mare, about 7 feet away. Twist kept his head collected, and rolled the copper in his mouth. Nice horse you have there. She smiled. Hi Tiffany.

Jada raised her head as the filly jumped away. Keelin laughed a bit and said, "I can see that. She's very pretty, though, and you can ride her well." Then she heard slowing hoof beats behind her and looked to see a girl on a black stallion. "Thanks, he's very good-looking as well," Keelin said and patted Jada's neck. The mare seemed uninterested with the whole business, and would rather be out in her pasture eating.

"Hey, thanks. Both of your horses are very nice." Tiffany looked around, some smaller routes. "Shall we all ride together? And stick to the main path?" Swan snorted, and stood, resting her hoof. "Attitude, you." Tiffany patted Swan, and smiled at the other two female riders. The filly pinned her white ears and stomped her hoof, mardily. Tiffany tapped her shoulder. "Swan, what did I tell you." Swan obeyed. She stood square, pricking her ears, looking sweet. Tiffany turned to face the thoroughbred, who looked just like Swan, they were both white! "Hi Joycelin, I'm Tiffany, this is Swan." She smiled. Swan saw the stallion get closer. He was very nice looking.
