Vinny was in good shape, but it's not like he could race. This made Keelin decide to slow him down a bit to a canter, but let Aly and Ghost keep going to the end. "Good boy," she told her horse and patted him on the neck. He was sweating slightly, but that's mostly because it was warm outside and he had a thick saddle pad on because of the western saddle. Keelin thought that the pair looked great, and would be ready to win their next race.

Aly finally slowed Ghost to a steady trot as they trotted beside Vinny and Keelin. Aly posted up and down over his withers to his beat. Aly rubbed the colts partly sweaty neck and spoke good words to him. Aly finally pulled up the chestnut Thoroughbred to a walk and she sat down. She let the reins dangle on his neck as she took her feet from the sturrips and let them hang beside Ghost's barrel. "Good boy." Aly spoke to the colt whose ears were pricked and who was walking at a nice steady even pace. Aly was really happy with his little mini race they had did. He did really good. 'Great job Keelin." Aly said as she turned to glance at the sweaty pair. Aly broke up into laughs as she laughed at the two. They had gone probablly 4 furlongs and they two looked like they had just ran 5 miles in 4 minutes. Aly sure got a crack out of that.

Keelin couldn't help but laugh along with Aly. They probably looked like a mess compared to the well put together pair. "Thank you, but you guys were amazing," she said, her accent showing through a bit. "You'll be a threat in the upcoming match; is he two or three?" she asked. Keelin always liked the quieter side of the business. Her mare Bellota gave birth the day before, and she always liked working with the foals and breaking them in to be sent to their owners for full training. "These kinds of runs keep him conditioned, but it looks like he needs more of them!" Keelin laughed. Vinny actually had taken it pretty well; he was a bit sweaty and had lather by the reins, but that was about it. He had gotten more worked up in the pasture.

Aly really was liking Keelin. She knew they would become really good friends in the end and supporting eachother along with giving eachother tips. For example, Aly could tell Keelin which sires are proven to be good and what cross lines in breeding. In return, Keelin could tell Aly about any nice horses that are a threat in racing. They sure would hit it off then and win a bunch of races."Well thanks. We have really been working hard for the race. Hey, you should come and watch the race. If he wins you could come into the winners circle. That would be cool."Aly respnded to the girls compliment. Ghost tossed his head and gave a soft nicker before nibblnig on the grass below him. Aly giggled and grinned. "You really think so. He's three." Aly was surprised at Keelin's comment. That sure meant a lot, expecially coming from a breeder. Aly sure would take that in and use it for the race. "well, if you ever need a track to run him on just come over to my place. I'd be happy to let you use my private track!" Aly exclaimed as she reached down rubbing Ghost's neck. Ghost was sweaty but not that sweaty. Just sweaty from being held back. Ghost was normally a front runner and when he got to the frnt he adjusted his own speed. Aly was going to change his running order for his Maiden race. Ghost sure wasn't happy about that.

Aly was a nice girl, and Keelin was sure they would stay good friends. She would be able to tell her what crosses were doing well in races. Though Keelin was knowledgable about the busier side of racing, she wasn't completly up to date on everything. Keelin was decided that she'd be able to sell a lot of her foal crop to Aly, but there were other racing stables too. Aly would at least be able to have the first pick. "I'll be there," Keelin said with a grin. She laughed as Ghost nickered, he seemed like a sweet colt. She wondered who he was sired by. "Thanks, I might bring one of my younger girls over some time," Keelin said. None of her mares were bred at the moment, she was waiting a bit to figure out the best matches. Bell had given birth to a gorgeous filly who had a lot of bone and muscling. "If you ever want to come over to Blue Grass, you could have your pick of a foal. All my mares are unbred, so you could pick out a cross you might want!" Keelin said, patting Vinny's now drying neck.
